Welcome to Persona.bio (the "Service"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Service. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who we are

Persona.bio is operated by Cedar Hills Group LLC ("we", "us"). You can reach us at feedback@persona.bio.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. To create an account you must sign in with a supported identity provider (currently Google). You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of the answers and other content you submit to the Service ("Your Content"). By submitting Your Content you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of operating the Service.

When you choose to publish your persona, you make Your Content visible at your public persona URL (/p/{slug}) to anyone who can reach that URL. When you unpublish, the URL stops resolving but Your Content remains stored in your account until you delete it or your account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Post content that is illegal, harassing, hateful, defamatory, or invasive of another person's privacy.
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems or data.
  • Submit malicious code, deliberately bypass rate limits, or otherwise interfere with the Service.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules. For serious or repeated violations we may terminate accounts without notice.

5. Account termination

You may delete your account at any time from the Danger Zone on My Profile. Deletion is immediate and permanent: your user row, answers, share rules, and pending share requests are removed. Your public persona URL stops resolving right away.

We may also suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms or if we are required to do so by law.

6. No warranty

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

7. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR USE, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version here with a revised "Last updated" date. Material changes will be announced via email to active users (when transactional email is enabled) or via a visible in-app banner.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. You and we agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Travis County, Texas for any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service.
